| I hope all
of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We all have plenty to be
thankful for, especially the abundance of food in this country.
Personally, I was treated to a fantastic dinner with more
vegetable dishes than I could ever have wished for. I even
splurge and ate mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing! And I loved
every bit. It was a special occasion and I treated it as such.
The next day I went back to a diet of mainly vegetables and
protein and this is the way it generally goes for me. Happily
splurging on special occasions and eating a slightly more strict
diet the rest of the time. This is what I call a Weight
Management Diet. When adhered to, it makes weight gains a none
issue. Don’t we have other more important tasks than constantly
looking at the scale every morning while keeping our fingers
crossed? This is not a very healthy way to start the day. Please
consider throwing out your scale and judging your weight by how
your pants fit and by how you feel. If you eat correctly, you
will never have a weight issue again. You will also never be
held hostage to the scale and to an ever changing society which
tries to dictate how we look, dress and feel.
If weight management seems like an overwhelming
task to accomplish on your own, please call our clinic for an
appointment. This coming New Year, feel better about yourself
and lose those excess pounds using a healthy and successful
weight management plan that works 100% of the time when people
take responsibility for their own health. By spring you will
have recovered your true self and will find that making healthy
choices a positive alternative to your old nemesis, the scale.
