Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging |
|
(D.I.T.I.)
Most
diseases, like cancer, heart disease and stroke, are more
life-style related than hereditary. Its
also a fact that most of the
screening tests today are designed to find the very latest
and most critical
stages of disease. What you
really want to do is prevent, not find life threatening
problems, right?
Science recognizes
the human body as a self-healing organism. When interference
to normal body
function exists, the human body
adapts with coping mechanisms. When the body’s natural
efforts to
adapt are exhausted, signs and
symptoms develop. Most people do not seek intervention until
symptoms limit normal function
or threaten survival.
The fact is, that inflammation is the earliest stage of almost
all major health challenges. Because it
measures heat, Thermal Imaging
easily detects conditions in the inflammatory stage, which
can last for
years! That’s how it can be
beneficial to uncover many early stage conditions, from
heart and vascular
disease, to diabetes and much
more. Specifically, many women use Thermal Imaging for
breast
screening. Earlier detection of
abnormalities is better. Women also prefer Infrared Imaging
because
there is no harmful radiation, its painless
and easy.
|
What is Thermal Imaging?
It is a scientifically
established and accepted means to measure the
quantity and patterns of heat emitting from the
human body with a patented, FDA registered device.
It is a totally safe, non-invasive, non-contact
means to measure how well your body is regulating
its internal environment by mapping the thermal
output within two one-hundredths of a degree
centigrade! This highly sensitive and specific
imaging method is computerized as an image of your
body in a colormap that makes it easy to read.
The bilateral, glove-like pattern is an indication of
early stage diabetes. Most people have diabetes for
years before they have the first symptom. This
patient has no pain in her hands, but the thermal
imaging can see the silent damage.
It is referred to as " Medical
Infrared Imaging" because it shows how well your
body is functioning as compared to an x-ray, or a
Mammography. These tests have their benefits, but
the unique benefit with Medical Infrared Imaging is
that it can reveal changes leading to potential
health problems long before they threaten your
health and/or it can confirm something you suspect
but your doctor has no means to confirm or refute
the condition exist. |
Why it works.
By measuring changes in your
body’s thermal radiant heat as small as 1/100th of a
degree, we see “bio-markers, bio-fingerprints” or
"risk indicators" that published medical research
confirms can reveal tell-tale signs of tumors,
toxins, and disease, months or even years earlier
than traditional imaging procedures. You then have
time to pursue natural, conservative treatment
options. Infrared Imaging can also detect changes in
your microcirculation brought on by pain, changes
which are impossible or very difficult to detect
with X-Rays, CT scans or MRIs.
Medical Infrared Imaging is a
non-invasive, non-contact scan with absolutely no
risks. There are no injections or fluids to drink.
Our full body or localized exams are the safest
imaging procedure known.
The
inflammation in the upper left abdomen is an early
indication of stress in the liver. The patient
usually has no obvious symptoms at this stage.

Lymph
activation as a result of gum/dental inflammation.
This patient had no symptoms, but his immune system
was actively fighting a
low=grade infection.
Caroid
artery inflammation, earliest stage indication of
artery disease, years before occlusion. This
is a pre-clinical condition, with no symptoms.
This
picture reveals an asymmetry over the chest with a
corresponding asymmetry on the back. This is
an early indication of reduced function in the
heart.
|
What can it do?
It can offer you a “first
glance” because it’s the only test that can see
inflammation that all conventional testing misses.
It can show you a graphic,
full color picture of pain.

It offers you the chance to
regain your health before irreparable damage is done
|
|

What can it see?
Medical Infrared
Thermal Imaging is the screening have been waiting for.
-
It offers the unique insight of a
“first glance” at developing conditions long before the
much later stage detection of conventional imaging.
-
It also offers the benefit of pure
& safe imaging. There is no risk of damage to the
fragile cellular DNA or to delicate breast implants.
There are special protocols for
treatment of all early stage conditions to give the
added benefit of
prevention to avoid
development of unwanted disease. This can save the
heartache of treatment
and undesirable risk associated
with later stage detection.

Lower back pain is one of the most difficult conditions to
diagnose. Thermography makes it possible to
easily identify the problem areas to assist in the most
direct treatment.
Your Thermal Imaging Appointment
During the exam
There will be no contact with your
body, no injections, radiation or fluids to drink. You will
be in a comfortably cool private room and the camera will be
positioned from 4 to 8 feet away from you as you turn to
change to the necessary positions. You will be offered a gown to wear
until the imaging begins. For breast imaging, you will be
required to disrobe your upper body. A region of interest, like the head or
breast will take about 15 minutes.
Notice regarding interpretation
When reading these images, we look for
certain temperature findings in the breasts which may
suggest elevated risk for disease. Thermal imaging provides
information about current and future risk only and does not
diagnose breast conditions. Thermal imaging findings should
be correlated with diagnostic
examinations before a final
diagnosis and treatment decision is made. It does not
replace any other breast examination.
Mammography/Thermography/Ultrasound
What’s The Difference?
The following graph
outlines the differences between mammography, medical
infrared imaging (thermography), and ultrasound. In summary,
the current use of mammography and ultrasound are not enough
to protect women from breast cancer. Medical infrared
imaging should be added to every woman’s regular breast
health care if we want to ensure the earliest warning
possible.
Mammography
Medical Infrared Imaging
Ultrasound

|
Passes radiation through
the breast to produce an
image. Suspicious areas
need to be dense enough
to be seen. |
Uses infrared sensors to
detect heat and increased
vascularity (angiogenesis)
as the byproduct of
biochemical reactions. The
heat is compiled into an
image for computerized
analysis. |
High frequency sound waves are bounced off the
breast tissue and collected as an echo to produce an
image.
|
|
|
No radiation, non-invasive, harmless. |
No radiation, non-invasive, harmless. |
|
|
Can be used as often as indicated to trace a
problem, observe the effectiveness of treatment, or
monitor the health of the breast over time. |
|
|
Structural imaging. Ability to locate the area of
suspicious tissue. |
Functional imaging. Detects physiologic changes.
Cannot pinpoint the exact area of suspicion inside
the breast. |
Structural imaging. Ability to locate the area of
suspicious tissue.
|
|
Compresses the breast. |
Non-contact. Nothing touches the breasts. |
Uses mild sound head contact. |
|
Can detect cancer earlier than physical examination. |
Earliest method of breast cancer detection known. |
Not a screening procedure. Used to investigate an
area already detected by mammography, thermography,
or physical examination. Low spatial resolution
(cannot see fine detail). Good at distinguishing
solid masses from fluid filled cysts. |
|
Findings increase suspicion. Cannot diagnose cancer. |
Findings increase suspicion. Cannot diagnose cancer. |
Findings increase suspicion. Cannot diagnose cancer. |
|
Can detect tumors in the pre-invasive stage in
mainly slow-growing cancers. |
Can detect a pathologic state of the breast up to 10
years before a cancerous tumor is found by any other
method. |
Ability to detect some cancers missed by
mammography. |
|
Cannot detect exponentially fast growing tumors in
the pre-invasive stage. |
Has the ability to detect fast growing aggressive
tumors.
In 7 out of 10 women, thermography will be the first
alarm that something is happening.
A positive infrared image represents the highest
known risk factor for the existence of or future
development of breast cancer
– 10 times more significant than any family history
of the disease. |
|
|
Average 80% Sensitivity (20% of cancers missed), in
women over age 50. Sensitivity drops to 60% (40% of
cancers missed) in women under age 50. |
Average 90% Sensitivity
(10% of cancers missed) in all age groups.
Of these missed cancers, the vast majority are slow
growing and poorly invasive. Of the type of cancers
to miss, this is highly preferable. This makes
thermography highly valuable as a prognostic
indicator. |
Average 83% Sensitivity (17% of cancers missed) in
all age groups. |
|
Hormone use decreases sensitivity. |
No effect. |
No known effect. |
|
Average 75% Specificity (25% false-positives).
85% of all mammography initiated biopsies are
negative. |
Average 90% Specificity
(10% false-positives).
Due to thermography’s ability to act as the earliest
warning signal, further studies are needed to follow
patients over a prolonged time period. |
Average 66% Specificity (34% false-positives). |
|
Large, dense, and fibrocystic breasts cause reading
difficulties. |
No effect. |
No known effect. |
|
In most women, the medial upper triangle, peripheral
areas next to the chest wall, and the inframammary
sulcus cannot be visualized. |
Not applicable.
Due to the nature of infrared imaging, pre-cancerous
and cancerous tumors as deep as the chest wall can
be detected. |
All areas visualized.
